
Blades Outlast Hurricanes, Pick up Ninth Straight Win

The Saskatoon Blades outlasted the Lethbridge Hurricanes 1-0 at the ENMAX Centre on Friday with a 1-0 overtime win.
Nashville Predators prospect Tanner Molendyk sealed the deal with the overtime winner, earning the Blades their ninth straight victory. The 6-foot defender leads Saskatoon defencemen with eight goals and 45 points in 37 games.
Rookie netminder Evan Gardner picked up his third shutout of the campaign stopping 16 shots. The Fort St. John, BC native improved to 16-5-0-2 and has won four straight games.
The Blades became the first team in the WHL to 40 wins and remain first with 85 points. The Blue and Gold also have at least a point in 30 of their last 31 games.
NEXT GAME: The Blades visit Co-op Place tomorrow night as they look to tame the Medicine Hat Tigers.
