Calgary, AB - Kirby Dach scored twice, his second into an empty net, to lift the Saskatoon Blades past the Calgary Hitmen 5-3 on Sunday at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

Eric Florchuk, Josh Paterson and Kristian Roykas-Marthinsen also scored for the visitors. It was the Roykas-Marthinsen tally with 7:17 remaining in the third period that snapped a 3-3 tie.

Jake Kryski, Carson Focht and Zach Huber provided the Calgary goals with Egor Zamula adding a pair of assists.

Saskatoon goaltender Nolan Maier made 38 saves, with Hitmen goalie Jack McNaughton recording 36 stops in a contest that saw both teams register 41 shots on goal.

On the special team's front, the Hitmen went 0-3 on the power play and the Blades 1-6.

Calgary plays Game 3 of their four game homestand on Friday, Nov. 2 when they host the Medicine Hat Tigers in their first meeting this season. Game time is 7:00 p.m. at the Scotiabank Saddledome for RE/MAX Chuck-A-Puck where four lucky participants will win a hot air balloon ride courtesy of RE/MAX.

The homestand then wraps on Saturday, Nov. 3 in a 1:30 matinee at the 'Dome against the Red Deer Rebels. It's also the Diwali Celebration. The afternoon will include South Asian Cuisine on the concourse, Bhangra Dancers and a Festival of Lights.
