Tonight... Saskatoon wraps up a 3-in-3 road trip in Calgary against the Hitmen, already the 3rd meeting of the season between the 2 clubs. The road team has won each of the previous meetings; the Blades have the upper hand with an extra point due to an overtime loss in the last meeting on Oct. 17that SaskTel Centre. The Blades haven't won in their last 3 outings while the Hitmen are winless in their last 2. Saskatoon currently holds 2nd place in the East Division, 2 points ahead of the Brandon Wheat Kings who are in Vancouver tonight visiting the Western Conference leading Giants.
The last game...Dorrin Luding made 40 saves on 44 shots and Gary Haden scored twice in his 2nd game with the Blades as Saskatoon fell 5-2 to the Edmonton Oil Kings. Chase Wouters and Josh Paterson picked up assists in the loss.
Meanwhile, the Hitmen are coming off a barn-burner, 7-6 loss at home on Friday to the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Captain Mark Kastelic had 2G-2A in the loss while both Carl Stankowski (5GA) and Jack McNaughton (2GA) saw 15 shots in goal.
