Saskatoon Blades News Release

Burke Gallimore's 11th goal of the season in the second period proved to be the game winner as the Blades defeated the Moose Jaw Warriors 5-3.

Moose Jaw would open the scoring early on a nifty breakaway goal by Martin Filo only a little over a minute into the first period. 16 year old Josh Nicholls would tie things up later in the period when he elected to shoot on a 2 on 1. The Warriors would retake the lead in the second period when Joel Broda notched his 14th goal of the season. The Blades rebounded nicely by scoring three straight times to close out the period with goals coming from Charles Inglis, Gaelan Patterson, and Gallimore.

After a tight checking third period, Filo would squeeze one past Braden Holtby with a little over 2 minutes left in the game. Patterson would add an empty net goal to seal the 14th victory of the season for the Bridge City Bunch.

The Blades next game is on Wednesday, November the 12th against the Seattle Thunderbirds. Tickets can be purchased by calling 938-7800 or online at ticketmaster.ca.
