Blackhawks Re-Assign Corazzini and Richmond; Admirals Release Domish

CHICAGO, Illinois - Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Blackhawks have reassigned right wing Carl Corazzini and defenseman Danny Richmond to Norfolk. Additionally, Admirals General Manager Al MacIsaac announced that Norfolk has released defenseman Jerramie Domish from his Professional Tryout Contract (PTO).

Corazzini, 28, is a 5'9", 176 lb. right wing from Framingham, MA. He skated in four contests for the Blackhawks during his recall and registered one assist and two penalty minutes. He has also appeared in 16 games for the Admirals this season registering 12 goals and seven assists for 19 points and no penalty minutes.

Corazzini made his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins during the 2003-04 season. In 16 NHL games, he now has two goals and one assist with two penalty minutes. He signed a one-year contract with Chicago on July 17, 2006.

With the Admirals, Corazzini ranks second on the team in goals and is tied for the team and AHL lead in game-winning goals with three game-winners. Corazzini ranked fourth on the Admirals' roster during the 2005-06 season with 55 points (26g, 29a).

Richmond, 22, is a 6'0", 194 lb. defenseman from Chicago, Illinois. He was scoreless in the Blackhawks' game on Saturday in Nashville while Chicago defenseman Lasse Kukkonen was with his wife as they celebrated the birth of their baby daughter. In four games with Chicago in 2006-07, Richmond has no points and no penalty minutes.

With the Admirals this season, Richmond has five goals and six assists with 45 penalty minutes in 17 games. Richmond also appeared in 34 regular season and playoff games with Norfolk last season, scoring four goals and adding nine assists with 44 penalty minutes.

Richmond was acquired by the Blackhawks along with a 2006 4th round draft pick from the Carolina Hurricanes for Anton Babchuk and a 2007 4th round draft pick on January 20, 2006.

Originally drafted by Carolina in the second round (31st overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft, Richmond has skated in 23 NHL games in his career with one assist and 25 penalty minutes. In 143 career AHL games, Richmond has 17 goals and 34 assists with 286 penalty minutes.

Domish, 27, is a 5'9", 203 lb. defenseman from Collegeville, Pennsylvania. He appeared in the Admirals' game versus Worcester on Saturday and was scoreless with two penalty minutes. He had been playing with the Trenton Titans (ECHL) at the start of the 2006-07 campaign and had four assists and 18 penalty minutes with an even rating in eight games. Domish was an invitee to Admirals training camp this fall.

Domish has one career AHL game played with the Philadelphia Phantoms in the 2004-05 season. In 67 career ECHL games between Atlantic City, Trenton and Charlotte, Domish has two goals and 23 assists with 75 penalty minutes. He won the 2005 Kelly Cup Championship with the Titans under Head Coach Mike Haviland and Assistant Coach Ted Dent.

The Admirals lace up the skates at Scope on Wednesday night for an important East Division match. The Hershey Bears provide the opposition in the first of five December contests between the division leaders. Opening faceoff is set for 7:15 p.m.
