Bulldogs begin busy week in Wednesday

The Hamilton Bulldogs (12-9-0-1) will play four games in a span of five days this week. Hamilton opens the week on Wednesday, December 6th at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto against the Marlies (9-11-2-2) at 7:30 p.m. The Bulldogs then return home to Copps Coliseum on Friday, December 8th to host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (17-4-1-1) at 7:30 p.m. The 'Dogs round out the week with two road games against the Rochester Americans (16-4-1-0) at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday, December 9th at the Blue Cross Arena at Rochester War Memorial and the Syracuse Crunch (6-15-0-1) at 5:00 p.m. at the Onondaga County War Memorial at Oncenter on Sunday, December 10th.

Hamilton posted a 2-1-0-0 record in three games last week. The Bulldogs opened the week with two wins, shutting out the Milwaukee Admirals 3-0 on Tuesday (Nov. 28) and winning 3-2 in a shootout against the Grand Rapids Griffins on Wednesday (Nov. 29). The 'Dogs then lost 3-2 against their North Division rivals the Toronto Marlies on Friday (Dec. 1). Hamilton finished the month of November with a 10-2-0-1 overall record, good enough to tie for second place in the North Division Standings. November's 10 wins produced an all-time best +10 win differential (2-to-12) from October, which is the largest improvement from one month to the next in franchise history.

- G Jaroslav Halak was named the Rbk X-Pulse / AHL Goaltender of the Month for November. Halak registered his seventh career AHL shutout last week against Milwaukee (Nov. 28) and leads the AHL in Goals Against Average (1.46), Save Percentage (.951) and Shutouts (4)
- D Mathieu Roy scored three goals in three games last week and leads all Bulldogs' defencemen with 14 points (5-9-14) and a league-wide third best plus-15 rating in 21 games this season
- C Mikhail Grabovski recorded four points (1-3-4) in three games last week
- RW Andrei Kostitsyn notched three goals in three games last week and scored twice in the shootout including the shootout game-winning goal on Wednesday against Grand Rapids (Nov. 29)
