
96.5 TIC Acoustic Café Vol. VI CD to Benefit Wolf Pack Foundation to be Released Tuesday

Hartford, December 4, 2006 - Musicians and Hartford Wolf Pack hockey players have joined forces to lend a hand to children's charities in the Greater Hartford area. The 96.5 TIC Acoustic Café- Volume VI will be released tomorrow, Tuesday, December 5th at six select locations. The CD features the music of some of today's most popular musical artists, recorded acoustically, and net proceeds from the sale of the CD will benefit the charitable efforts of the Hartford Wolf Pack Community Foundation. Over the past five years, sales of the CD have raised more then $95,000.00.
Starting tomorrow, the 96.5 Acoustic Café Volume VI CD can be purchased at: FYE stores in Avon, Buckland Hills Mall, Westfarms Mall and Westfield Shopping Town in Enfield, along with Strawberries in Bristol. On Tuesday, December 12th, it will be available at all Big Y World Class Markets, FYE and Strawberries locations as well as the new Hartford Wolf Pack "Pack Shop" in the Civic Center Mall. The retail price of the CD is only $9.65 and includes cuts from Staind, KT Tunstall, The Fray, Five for Fighting, Goo Goo Dolls, Barenaked Ladies, Anna Nalick, James Blunt, Nick Lachey and Smash Mouth. Each CD includes a voucher worth $16.50 for a free ticket to see a Wednesday night or Sunday night Wolf Pack game during the 2006-07 season.
Proceeds of the sales go to the Hartford Wolf Pack Community Foundation. The Foundation's mission is to help fund charitable and non-profit endeavors that offer support to inner-city youth, amateur sport and promote the health, education and well being of Connecticut's children.
Sponsors of this year's Acoustic CD project include: Sleepy's The Mattress Professionals, Fichman Eye Center and Harte Auto Group.
The Wolf Pack return to action this Friday night, traveling to Worcester for their second visit in less then two weeks to take on the Sharks (7:00 PM faceoff) and then will return to the Hartford Civic Center for a 7:30 PM game vs. the Lowell Devils on Saturday. Saturday's game is a Guaranteed Win Night, sponsored by Advance Auto Parts, and the Wolf Pack guarantee a win against Lowell or all fans can redeem their ticket to the Wednesday 12/13 game vs. Philadelphia at 7:00 PM.
Individual tickets for Wolf Pack games are on sale now at the Hartford Civic Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster locations, including Macy's at the Buckland Hills Mall and at the Westfarms Mall.
