Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons face the Rochester Red Wings in the final game of a three-game series at Frontier Field (7:05 p.m.). vs. the Red Wings

The Bisons are 4-4 against the Red Wings this season, with a 2-2 record at Frontier Field. Buffalo has not had a losing season against the Red Wings since 2009 (53-35 since). The Herd (8-5) currently holds a 0.5 game lead over Rochester (8-6) for 1st place in the 2015 Thruway Cup.

Scott Copeland

RHP SCOTT COPELAND will make his 10th start of the season tonight. In his last outing, the righty allowed two runs on eight hits while striking out three in 7.0 innings to earn the win on July 4 at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. It was Copeland's fifth win of the season, tying him for 2nd-most on the team. Opponents are hitting just .192 with a .239 slugging pct. against Copeland.

Greg Burke

After allowing only one hit in 1.2 innings of work out of the bullpen last night, RHP GREG BURKE extended his scoreless streak to 6.2 innings (5 games) since joining the Bisons from New Hampshire on June 24. He has allowed just five total baserunners (2 H, 1 HB, 2 BB) while striking out five batters in that span.

MattVP

All-Star INF MATT HAGUE has an outside chance to wrap up a IL Batting Title even before the All-Star break. Because he's played in all but two of Buffalo's games, he needs just 21 more plate appearances to reach season qualification (389 PA). Hague's .343 batting average is 26 points better than any other hitter in the International League
