Pigs Look for Third Straight Win

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will go for the sweep of the Pawtucket Red Sox on Thursday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch of the series finale is slated for 7:05 p.m.

RHP Aaron Nola (3-0, 2.28) gets the ball for the Pigs on Thursday. Nola got a no-decision on Saturday at Rochester after giving up three runs on nine hits while fanning six over six innings of work. Thus far in 4 GS with Lehigh Valley, the Baton Rouge, La. native has struck out 24 batters over 23.2 IP and has walked just five in that span.

RHP Keith Couch (3-8, 5.66) will be on the bump for manager Kevin Boles' squad in the series finale. The right-hander was tagged with the loss on Saturday at Syracuse when he allowed eight runs on ten hits to go along with six strikeouts in 5.0 IP. Couch will be making his second start of the season against the IronPigs. Back on April 10, the Adelphi University Product earned the win vs. the Pigs at Coca-Cola Park after surrendering three runs on six hits in six innings of work.

IronPigs INF Chase d'Arnaud has now recorded four straight multi-hit games after going 2-6 on Wednesday night. In that time, d'Arnaud is hitting .555 (11-20)-1-3 with three doubles, a triple and six runs scored.

The first 3,000 fans 18 and older in attendance on Thursday will receive an IronPigs Hot/Cold pack presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network. There is also a pregame Happy Hour in the AT&T plaza with $1 hot dogs and $2 domestic drafts from 5 to 6 p.m.
