Today's Game

This afternoon, the Bisons host the Rochester Red Wings for the final game of a three-game series from Coca-Cola Field (1:05 p.m.). Buffalo is coming off a 2-1, 10-inning victory over their rivals on Wednesday. Buffalo has not won or lost more than two in a row all season. After this game, the Herd leaves for a three-game set in Lehigh Valley.

Last Game (BUF 2, ROC 1 -14 innings)

For the second straight game, the Bisons and Red Wings went to extra innings. This time, it was the Bisons with the 2-1 win thanks to OF Domonic Brown's walk-off RBI single in the 10th. Buffalo trailed into the 7th inning until getting a home run from INF Casey Kotchman. RHP Dustin Antolin earned his first career Triple-A win in relief.

vs. Rochester (3-4)

Today's game closes out six straight between the Thruway Cup rivals. Rochester won two of three at Frontier Field over the weekend. After today, the teams will meet 11 more times, but not until a four-game home-and-home series that begins June 6 in Rochester.

Chris Leroux

RHP Chris Leroux is coming off his longest outing of the season. The veteran tossed six innings in a loss in Rochester last Friday where he allowed six runs in six innings of work. Leroux is still looking for his first Bisons win after posting a 5.14 ERA in his first three starts.

Jesus Montero

DH Jesus Montero singled in yesterday's game to extend his hit streak to a Bisons' season-high 11 games. It's also the 2nd-longest active streak in the International League and 4th-longest overall. Since April 15, the slugger has averaged .327 (16-49) with four doubles, a home run and seven RBI. Montero's 25 hits are tied for the 2nd most in the IL .

Jon Berti

INF Jon Berti was promoted from New Hampshire (AA) before yesterday's game. He entered the game as a pinch runner, stole second base and scored the game-winning run. Berti had an Eastern-League best 10 steals with a .309 average and eight RBI in 17 games for the Fisher Cats this year. Berti hit .228 with two homers and 14RBI with the Herd in 2015.

Roster Moves

Prior to yesterday's game, SHP Pat Venditte was optioned from the Blue Jays. Venditte started the year with Herd and struck out five of the six batters he faced in two outings (all as a right-handed pitcher). Venditte posted a 7.36 ERA in five outings with the Blue Jays.

Bisons Bits

The Bisons are 8-0 when outhitting their opponents...RHP Arnold Leon set season highs with six strikeouts and four innings of relief yesterday.

Blue Jays Update

The White Sox completed the three-game sweep of the Toronto (10-13) with a 4-0 win last night. Former Blue Jay and Bison C Dioner Navarro had the big hit with a two-run triple in the 7th inning. Just promoted yesterday, RHP Ryan Tepera allowed a run on two hits in one inning of relief. The Blue Jays are off today and will play in Tampa Bay on Saturday.
