Charlotte Knights News Release

(UPTOWN CHARLOTTE, NC) - The Charlotte Knights will change two upcoming game times this season due to events going on in the Uptown Charlotte area on the same day. First, the team will shift its 6:05 p.m. game on Saturday, July 30th to 12:05 p.m. due to the international soccer match pitting Bayern Munich vs. Inter Milan at Bank of America Stadium at 5:00 p.m. that day. Also, with the Carolina Panthers hosting their final home pre-season game on Thursday, September 1st, first pitch of the Charlotte Knights game originally scheduled for 7:05 p.m. from BB&T Ballpark that day has been shifted to a 1:05 p.m. start time.

"Much like over the past two seasons, we feel that moving our night games up to afternoon games on each of these dates is best for everyone in the Uptown Charlotte area," said Charlotte Knights GM Scotty Brown. "Our hope is to help alleviate traffic and congestion in and around the Uptown Charlotte area. These changes give our fans a chance to spend all day in the Uptown area on both occasions, so that they can enjoy multiple events going on in our city."

Single-game tickets for both of these games, as well as all home games this season, are available by phone at 704-274-8282, online at www.charlotteknights.com, or in person at the BB&T Ballpark Ticket Office. The Knights return home to Uptown Charlotte on Friday, April 29th to open a six-game homestand.
