Today's Game

Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the second game of a three-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The IronPigs rallied for a 5-4 win last night in the series' game one. The Herd's mini three-game homestand concludes tomorrow as the club will travel to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.

Halfway Point

The Bisons have reached the half-way point of their 144-game season. The club is an even 18-18 at home, but four-games under .500 on the road (16-20) for a combined 34-38 record. The Herd ranks 2nd in the IL in ream ERA (2.98) and has a +36 run differential. A total of 49 different players (118 roster moves) have suited up for Buffalo this year.

vs. the IronPigs

The Bisons are 8-5 against Lehigh Valley this year. Buffalo started the year 7-1 against the I-Pigs, but Lehigh Valley has won four of the last five in the series. These are the final games at Coca-Cola Field for the teams, who still have a three-game set in Allentown, August 24-26.

Daniel Norris

LHP DANIEL NORRIS has not allowed more than three earned runs in any of his nine outings with the Bisons this year. However, the Herd has scored just 2.2 runs a game in support for the southpaw. Buffalo was shutout 3-0 by the IronPigs last Thursday with Norris allowing just two runs in 5.1 innings in the start (2 BB, 7 SO).

MattVP

Halfway through the season, INF MATT HAGUE is still arguably the best hitter in the International League. The veteran leads the IL in average (.348), hits (92) and on-base pct. (.429). He also ranks T2nd in doubles (19) and RBI (43), 3rd in slugging pct. (.473) and total bases (125) and 4th in walks (36). He has 28 multi-hit performances this year.

Chad Jenkins

RHP CHAD JENKINS has not allowed a run in his last nine relief outings (14.0 IP). The only run he has yielded since May 25 was in a start on June 9 against Scranton/WB, for a 0.50 ERA in the last month.

Bisons Bits

OF ALEX HASSAN drove in four runs last night with a single, a double and a sac fly...INF JONATHAN DIAZ picked up two outfield assists last night in his 13th start in centerfield this year.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (38-35) lost to the Rays last night, 4-3. Former Bison R.A. Dickey allowed just three runs in seven innings but fell to 3-7 on the year. Dioner Navarro and Edwin Encarnacion homered in the lost. Toronto and Tampa Bay are playing an afternoon rubbermatch that began at 12:10 p.m.
