TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Gwinnett Braves in the finale of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd is coming off a 4-2 win last night. Tonight's game marks the conclusion of the first series of the Bisons modern-era record 16-game homestand.

vs. BRAVES: The Bisons are 5-2 against the Braves this season. The Herd has already clinched the season series with Gwinnett as the teams will not meet again in 2012. Buffalo split the season series with the Braves (4-4) in 2011. Since their return to the IL in 1998, the Bisons are 10-5 at Coca-Cola Field when squaring off against Gwinnett.

HARVEY: RHP MATT HARVEY starts tonight for the third time this season at Coca-Cola Field. He is looking for his fourth win of the season following a no-decision in his last start at Charlotte. In the month of May, Harvey is 1-0 with a 3.38ERA and 14 strikeouts in 16.0 innings of work.

STREAKIN': OF VINNY ROTTINO had a two-run single last night to extend his hitting streak to 20 games. It is the longest active streak in the International League and has now tied the 20-game hit streak set by Toledo's Brad Eldred. Rottino is the fifth Bison in the modern-era with a stretch of at least 20 games. The last Bison to reach this feat was OF BEN FRANCISCO in 2006 (25 games). The Bisons modern-era record is 28 games set by INF ALEX RAMIREZ in 1998. During his run, Ramirez hit .350 with 11HR and 29RBI.

STEALING THE SHOW: The Herd stole four bases in last night's win. This was the first time that the team stole at least four bases in one contest since August 3, 2007. Former Bisons INF ASDRUBAL CABRERA and OF BEN FRANCISCO each swiped a bag while OF JASON COOPER stole a pair.

BISONS BITS: RHP CHRIS SCHWINDEN helped his own cause last night with two hits and a run scored. Bisons pitchers are now hitting .179 (7-39) in 2012 and are one hit shy (8-98, .082) of the team total in 2011. Tonight's starter RHP MATT HARVEY is .333 (3-9) at the plate with one homer...As a Triple-A rookie, RHP ELVIN RAMIREZ extended his scoreless streak to six games (7.0IP, 3H, 8K)...The Bisons currently lead the IL in team batting average (.274).

METS UPDATE : The Mets' (21-17) won 9-4 against the Cincinnati Reds yesterday in the final game of their two-game set. INF DAVID WRIGHT had two hits with three runs scored and three walks. Former Bison RHP JON NIESE takes the hill for New York tonight (7:07 p.m.) as the Mets begin their interleague series with the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre in Toronto.
