Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons take on the Toledo Mud Hens in the second game of a three-game series from Fifth Third Field (7:05 p.m.). Buffalo is 3-1 on their six-game Ohio roadtrip that started with a three-game sweep in Columbus. The Bisons have won seven of their last nine games and are 15-12 on the road this season.

Last Game (TOL 8, BUF 0)

The Mud Hens snapped the Bisons four-game winning streak with last night's 8-0 win. The loss matched the Herd's 14-6 defeat to Syracuse on May 5 as its worst of the season. Former Bisons' LHP Daniel Norris

struck out eight over the first six innings of the four-pitcher shutout.

Triple Play

The Bisons turned a 5-4-3 triple play in last night's loss. 3B David Adams fielding a John Hicks' grounder, stepped on third base and relayed to 2B Andy Burns who threw to 1B Matt Dominguez to complete the play. The Herd was involved in two triple plays last year, turning one themselves on June 1 in Indianapolis as LHP Randy Wolf caught a line drive and started a 1-6-3 triple play.

vs. Toledo (2-2)

The Bisons took two of three from the Mud Hens last week at Coca-Cola Field. Buffalo is looking for their first season series win over Toledo since going 5-3 against the Hens in 2008. That was also the same year the Herd won its last series at Fifth Third Field (3-1).

Wade LeBlanc

LHP Wade LeBlanc's 1.44 ERA is the 3rd-best mark in the International League. The veteran comes into today having not allowed an earned run in his previous four starts (two unearned runs), a stretch of 26.2 innings of work. LeBlanc has also struck out at least six batters in each of his last eight starts. He ranks 4th in the IL with 53 punchouts.

Jesus Montero

DH Jesus Montero brings a seven-game hit streak into today's game. Since May 19, the slugger has hit .367 (11-30) with two doubles, a home run and five RBI. Montero leads the Bisons in several offensive categories, with his 52 hits the 4th-best in the International League and his 12 doubles tied for 5th-best in the IL.

Dalton Pompey

OF Dalton Pompey has hit in his last 10 games away from Coca-Cola Field. In a stretch that began May 9 in Durham, the outfielder has averaged .341 (14-41) with four doubles, a home run and five RBI. Overall, Pompey has hit in 14 of his last 16 games overall with a .323 (20-62) average since May 8.

May

The Bisons have won 14 of their last 20 games and are now 15-10 for the month of May. It's the team's first winning May since 2012 when the club went 17-13 in the month.

Bisons Bits

The Bisons 18 saves are three more than any other IL pitching staff...INF Casey Kotchman has a four-game hit streak (7-12, .583) and a four-game walk streak. He has a .706 on-base pct. since last Saturday.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (25-25) defeated the Red Sox, 7-5, on Friday thanks to a monster game from the reigning MVP, 3B Josh Donaldson. The slugger singled, doubled and homered twice, driving in five of Toronto's seven runs. He now has 13 home runs on the season. Toronto has former Bisons' RHP Marcus Stroman on the mound today to face Boston at 1:07 p.m.
