The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (25-23) were blanked by the Louisville Bats (26-22), 2-0 on Saturday night at Coca-Cola Park.

Louisville opened up the 2-0 lead with a pair of solo shots in the top of the first from Carlos Triunfel and Jermaine Curtis off of Pigs starter James Russell.

Russell (1-1) gave up two runs on four hits while fanning four in five innings of work.

Louisville starter Keyvius Sampson (2-1) allowed three hits to go along with five strikeouts in five innings of work. RHP Steve Delabar (1.0 IP, H) tossed a scoreless ninth to notch his fourth save of the year.

Trailing 2-0, the Pigs had runners at the corners with two outs in the sixth, but RHP J.J. Hoover (1.0 IP, 2 H) got Darin Ruf to line out to right and end the inning.

RHP Frank Herrmann (1.0 IP, K), RHP Edubray Ramos (2.0 IP, 2 K) and RHP Luis Garcia (1.0 IP, H) each had a scoreless outing in relief for manager Dave Brundage's squad.

Nick Williams (3-4) had a three-hit game for Lehigh Valley.

The series wraps up on Sunday at 1:35 p.m. from Coca-Cola Park as RHP Zach Eflin (5-0, 2.05) gets the ball for the Pigs against Louisville LHP Cody Reed (3-2, 2.21).
