Pigs Look to Even Series with Bats

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to even the series with the Louisville Bats on Saturday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch is slated for 6:35 p.m.

LHP James Russell (1-0, 0.68) gets the ball for the Pigs on Saturday night. The southpaw's last start came on Sunday vs. Toledo when he gave up one hit while fanning four over four shutout innings in a no-decision. Russell has not allowed an earned run over his last 10.2 IP.

RHP Keyvius Sampson (1-1, 2.66) will be on the bump for the Bats opposite Russell. Sampson's last outing was in relief on Sunday vs. Columbus when he allowed three runs on four hits while walking one and fanning one in 0.2 IP. In 3 GS this season, the right-hander has not allowed an earned run over 12.2 IP.

Since making his Triple-A debut on May 20, Pigs SS J.P. Crawford has reached safely in all seven games with the IronPIgs. Crawford is ranked as the No. 1 prospect in the Phillies system according to Baseball America.

There will be postgame fireworks following the game presented by Giant Food Stores.
