Buffalo Bisons (15-18, 6th(-4.5), North) vs. Durham Bulls (15-19, 3rd(-2.0), South)

Thursday, May 12, 2016 (11:05 a.m.) - Durham Bulls Athletic Park

LHP Wade LeBlanc (3-1, 2.21) vs. RHP Austin Pruitt (2-1, 2.93)

Radio: ESPN 1520 AM, Bisons Radio Network

Today's Game

This morning, the Bisons face on the Durham Bulls in the finale of a four-game set at Durham Bulls Athletic Park (11:05 a.m.). Up 2-1, the Herd is in position for the series win, despite last night's 3-2 Bulls win. Buffalo is 10-9 on the road this season and will continue their seven-game roadtrip when they visit Harbor Park in Norfolk on Friday.

Last Game (DUR 3, BUF 2)

The Bisons rallied from 2-0 down with runs in the sixth and eighth innings, but Durham pushed across the game-winning tally in the bottom of the eighth on a pair of hits and a Bisons' error. Ex-Bull LHP Scott Diamond delivered his team-best fifth quality start with six innings of two-run baseball, but did not earn a decision.

vs. Durham (2-1)

With a win today, the Bisons can earn a series victory at Durham Bulls Athletic Park. It would be just their seventh series win at DBAP since 1998 and only their second in the last eight years (3-1, 2014). The Bulls visit Coca-Cola Field from June 13-15.

Wade LeBlanc

The Bisons' team-leader in wins (3) and ERA (2.21), LHP Wade LeBlanc starts for the Herd today. The southpaw has struck out at least six batters in five straight starts, including six over seven shutout innings to beat Syracuse last Saturday. LeBlanc has won both his road starts this season and has not allowed more than three runs in any start.

Arm Strength

The Bisons have allowed just three earned runs over their last five games for a 0.61 ERA since Saturday. During that stretch, the staff has struck out almost twice as many batters (50) as hits allowed (27). Buffalo has a 3.13 ERA over the first 10 games this May.

Healthy returns

OF Darrell Ceciliani and LHP Patrick McCoy were both activated off the disabled list on Wednesday. Ceciliani averaged .417 in big league camp this spring but played just four games before missing a month. McCoy posted a 1.42 ERA over his first seven outings this season and has worked two innings or more on five separate occasions.

Bisons Bits

The Bisons are a perfect 10-0 when outhitting their opponents...Overall, the Herd is 10-9 in games decided by two runs or less, accounting for 58% of its 33 games played thus far...Thirteen of the club's 20 home runs have either given the team the lead or tied the game, including three of OF Domonic Brown's team-high five homers. INF David Adams' 10-game hit streak is the 4th-longest active streak in the IL. He has averaged .480 (12-25) since April 24.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (18-18) could not complete the sweep in San Francisco, falling to the Giants on Wednesday, 5-4, in 13 innings. LF Michael Saunders' fifth home run of the season in the ninth forced extras but the Giants won it when C Buster Posey drew a bases-loaded walk off RHP Ryan Tepera. Toronto is off today and will play in Texas against the Rangers on Friday.
