Today's Game

Tonight, the Bisons face the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in the third game of a four-game set from PNC Field (6:35 p.m.). This series is now tied 1-1 following the RailRiders' 7-0 shutout win last night. Buffalo has lost six of their last eight games and are 5-8 on the season. The team's roadtrip continues on Friday in Rochester.

Last Game

Buffalo was held to five singles in last night's 7-0 defeat to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. It's the second time the team has been shutout this season, having lost 2-0 to Pawtucket on April 8. 3B Matt Dominguez had two of the hits while LHP Scott Diamond suffered his first Bisons defeat after allowing four earned runs in 4.2 innings of work.

vs. Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (1-1)

Dating back to last season, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre has won five of their last six games against Buffalo. That, however, came after an 8-2 stretch by the Herd from late June into late August of last season. Each of the last three season series between these two clubs have been decided by two or fewer wins.

Wade LeBlanc

LHP Wade LeBlanc is coming off a 2-1 loss to Rochester last Friday in which he struck out six batters in 6.1 innings of work. The southpaw won his other road start this season, tossing five shutout innings on April 10 in Pawtucket. LeBlanc made one appearance in the Yankees organization in 2014. Claimed by New York in early June that year, he allowed two runs in one inning on June 4 against Oakland.

Matt Dominguez

INF Matt Dominguez comes into tonight with a streak of three consecutive multi-hit performances. The infielder is 7 for his last 11 (.636) with a double, a home run and six RBI since Sunday. On the season, Dominguez's nine RBI are tied for the team lead and 3rd-best in the International League.

Jesus Montero

DH Jesus Montero has hit in five straight games with a .300 (6-20) average since April 15. He ranks tied for 1st in the International League in doubles (5), 3rd in RBI (9) and tied for 5th (15) in total hits. Montero has also reached in 11 of the team's 13 games with a .353 on-base pct.

Bisons Bits

1B Casey Kotchman has drawn a walk in seven of his last eight games played and has failed to reach base just once in 10 contests...RHP Bobby Korecky pitched a scoreless in inning of relief last night in what was his 127th career Bisons appearance. That total is just nine from RHP Fernando Cabrera's modern era team record...The Bisons' four-error game last night was their first since May 26, 2015 against the Indians.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (8-7) are back over the .500-mark thanks to a 4-3 win in Baltimore last night. It was Toronto's third straight victory and brings them to within 1.5 games of the 1st place Orioles. Former Bisons RHP Marcus Stroman improved to 3-0 with seven innings of three-run baseball. RHP Roberto Osuna nailed down his fifth save. Same two teams tonight at 7:05 p.m.
