Today's Game

This afternoon, the Bisons take on the Rochester Red Wings in the second game of a three-game series from Frontier Field (1:35 p.m.). The Bisons began this roadtrip with a 3-1 series win in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Buffalo is 6-6 so far away from Coca-Cola Field, having played 12 of their first 16 games on the road.

Last Game (ROC 8, BUF 3)

Rochester jumped out to a four-run lead in the first inning and carried that to an 8-3 win over the Bisons last night RHP Chris Leroux worked a season-best six innings but suffered his first defeat with Buffalo. INF Matt Dominguez hit a two-run home run for the Herd in the loss.

vs. Rochester (1-2)

Last night's game was the start of six straight contests between the Thruway rivals as the teams will play three at Coca-Cola Field after Monday's off day. Buffalo and Rochester traded 2-1 wins last week with the Bisons winning their Home Opener on April 14.

Dustin Antolin

With RHP Drew Hutchison being held out from his scheduled start today so he can start for the Blue Jays on Sunday, the Bisons will turn to RHP Dustin Antolin. This will be Antolin's second career start in 261 minor league games as he made one spot start for Double-A New Hampshire last year. A 2014 Eastern League All-Star, Antolin has struck out 14 in only 8.1 innings of work to begin his first Triple-A season.

Matt Dominguez

INF Matt Dominguez brings a six-game hit streak into today's game with a .522 (12-23) average since April 17. During the stretch, which has included four multi-hit performances, Dominguez has hit two doubles and two home runs while driving in nine. His 12 RBI on the season are the 3rd most in the International League.

Jesus Montero

DH Jesus Montero brings a Bisons' season-high eight-game hit streak into tonight's game. Since April 15, the slugger has averaged .324 (11-34) with three doubles, five RBI and four runs scored. Montero has hit in 13 of 16 games overall and leads the Herd with a .328 average. Montero leads the Herd with 20 hits and five doubles.

Bisons Bits

There are only five players in the IL who have appeared in 16 games this season and three are Bisons, INF Andy Burns, DH Jesus Montero and OF Junior Lake...The Bisons are 6-0 when outhitting their opponents...Bisons pitchers did not issue a walk in last night's contest, their first time accomplishing the feat this season...The Bisons are now tied for 2nd in the International League with 10 home runs.

Blue Jays Update

The Blue Jays (8-10) suffered their third straight loss, 8-5, to the Athletics. Prior to the contest, it was announced that 1B Chris Colabello has been suspended 80 games by Major League Baseball for testing positive for performance enhancing drugs. Former Bisons LHP J.A. Happ gets the ball today for Toronto with a 1:07 p.m. first pitch from Rogers Centre.
