LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A record setting crowd of 14,331 witnessed the Louisville Bats lose to the Indianapolis Indians during the Thunder Over Louisville game, 1-0. Today's game was a pitcher's duel between Bats RHP Josh Smith (2-1, 0.50) and Indians RHP Jameson Taillon (2-0, 1.65).

Smith came in 2-0 on the season, the lone Bats starter with a pair of wins. Today he pitched seven innings, allowing six hits and one earned run while ringing up six strikeouts. The earned run was the first allowed by Smith this season in three starts.

While both pitchers performed well, Taillon walked away with the win after pitching six innings and tallying six strikeouts while allowing only one hit. That one hit was to Smith, who singled in the bottom of the sixth.

The lone run of the afternoon came in the top of the fourth inning for the Indians after centerfielder Danny Ortiz hit a double, scoring first baseman Josh Bell from second.

Today's game also marked the end of the 10 game homestand for Louisville. The Bats will head on the road to Norfolk for the next three games beginning tomorrow at 4:05 p.m. Righty Robert Stephenson will get the ball for the Bats, while right-hander Odrisamer Despaigne will get the start for the Tides.
