Today's Game

This afternoon, the Bisons face the Indianapolis Indians in the finale of a three-game series from Victory Field (1:35 p.m.). Buffalo has identical 21-17 home and road records.

Last Game (BUF 4, IND 0)

RHP Roberto Hernandez and three relievers combined on a six-hit shutout of Indy on Saturday, 4-0. It's the first time the Herd has posted back-to-back shutouts since a pair of 2-0 wins over Pawtucket in a doubleheader, April 21, 2015. DH Jesus Montero had two hits and an RBI and INF David Adams hit his second homer of the year.

vs. Indianapolis (2-0)

With victories the last two nights, the Herd is one win away from their first sweep at Victory Field since May 17-19, 2003 when the Indians were affiliated with the Brewers. Buffalo is also just one win away from earning at least a split of this year's season series. The Bisons have just one split with Indy over the last seven years.

Jesus Montero

DH Jesus Montero has averaged .500 (10-20) over his last five games with seven runs driven in. The slugger now has 86 hits on the season, just two behind Indianapolis' Josh Bell for the most in the league. Bisons INF Matt Hague lead the IL last season with 177 hits. Montero ranks 4th in the IL with a .308 average and 3rd with 45 RBI.

MLB Rehab

LHP Brett Cecil joined the Bisons on Saturday and threw a shutout inning on MLB injury rehab. The southpaw was placed on the disabled list on May 15 with a left tricep strain. The veteran is 0-5 with a 5.23 ERA in 16 appearances with the Blue Jays this season.
