Today's Game

This afternoon, the Bisons take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders in the middle game of their three game series (1:05 p.m.). The Herd will continue their homestand, next hosting the Syracuse Chiefs for a four game set at Coca-Cola Field. Buffalo will then travel to face the Rochester Red Wings for a 6-game series May 25-28. Buffalo will begin to make-up their previously postponed games, with two being completed in Rochester.

Last Game: BUF 5 S/W-B 1

SS Lourdes Gurriel Jr. belted a grand slam in the fourth inning to break a scoreless tie and help secure the Bisons win. LHP Ryan Borucki worked seven scoreless innings on the mound as well. The starter has yet to allow a run over 14.0IP in two home starts this season. 1B Rowdy Tellez drove in the other run for Buffalo on a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning.

Today's Starter: RHP Justin Dillon

RHP Justin Dillon is making his second start with the Bisons since being assigned to the Herd from Dunedin (Adv-A). Dillon went six innings for Buffalo in his first start, and second overall Triple-A appearance, in a 1-0 loss to Lehigh Valley. He allowed just one unearned run and took the loss. Dillon notched a save in his first outing on May 3 vs. Syracuse.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (2-2)

The Bisons and RailRiders will play a total of 16 times this season. Buffalo took the first game of the season between the two teams but the RailRiders claimed victory in the final two games of the set. Following this series, the Herd will play the RailRiders next July 2-3 at Coca-Cola Field before heading to PNC Field in PA July 4-5 for another two game series.

Devon Travis

2B Devon Travis extended his hitting streak to six straight ballgames with a base hit in the fourth inning on Friday, increasing his batting average to .208. Travis now has a hit in 10 of the 12 games that he has appeared in since being optioned to Buffalo. He has made 10 starts at second base, with a pair of games serving as the designated hitter.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr.

SS Lourdes Gurriel Jr.'s first hit as a member of the Herd was a fourth inning grand slam on Friday that propelled Buffalo to the 5-1 win. Gurriel Jr. has two home runs in 20 games for the Blue Jays after being recalled from New Hampshire (AA) on April 20.

Transactions

RHP Josh DeGraaf was assigned to Dunedin (Adv-A) on Friday. In addition, RHP Deck McGuire was recalled to Toronto.

Bisons Bits

The Bisons have now scored 23 runs in the fourth inning after four on Friday, the most in any single inning for the team this season...INF Tim Lopes went 1-3 at the plate to keep his batting average at .337, still 2nd best in the International League behind Lehigh Valley's Joey Meneses (.358).

Blue Jays Update

Toronto (22-23) have lost two games in a row to the Oakland Athletics after a 3-1 loss on Friday night. SS Gio Urshela collected his first RBI of 2018 in the losing effort for the Jays. The teams will meet for two more meetings at Rogers Centre this weekend. RHP Sam Gaviglio will make his first Blue Jays start today against LHP Sean Manaea (1:07 p.m.).
