RHP Carson Fulmer optioned to Charlotte

The Chicago White Sox optioned RHP Carson Fulmer to the Charlotte Knights after their game on May 18th (Report TBD). Today, the White Sox recalled INF Jose Rondon and RHP Dylan Covey from the Knights. Charlotte's roster now consists of 23 active players.

Covey started seven games for the Knights this season and posted a 3-1 record with a 2.33 ERA (38.2 IP). His 2.33 ERA currently ranks eighth in the International League this season. Rondon has appeared in 28 games with the Knights this season and was hitting .272 (31-for-114) with 16 runs scored, four doubles, two triples, four home runs, and 10 RBIs at the time of today's promotion. Fulmer made nine appearances this season with the White Sox (eight starts). He compiled a 2-4 record with an 8.07 ERA (32.1 IP).

The promotions of Rondon and Covey to Chicago today are the second of the season for both players. For the season, the Knights have promoted nine different players to the White Sox. Those nine players, along with the date(s) of their promotion, are as follows: RHP Bruce RondÏŒn (April 8), RHP Chris Volstad (April 12), RHP Gregory Infante (April 21), RHP Chris Beck (April 23), OF Daniel Palka (April 24), RHP Juan Minaya (April 28), RHP Dylan Covey (April 28 & May 19), LHP Jace Fry (May 4), and INF Jose Rondon (May 5 & May 19). Last season, 22 players earned a promotion from Charlotte to Chicago.
