Montgomery Biscuits News Release

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Biscuits (16-8) had their four-game win streak ended in a 10-0 loss to the Jacksonville Suns (11-13) Sunday afternoon at the Baseball Grounds.

The Suns jumped on Michael Colla (1-3) early with four runs in the third inning. After a two-out error in the fourth inning, the Suns piled on six unearned runs to take a 10-0 lead.

Justin Nicolino (2-2) made his best start of the year for the win. The lefty went eight scoreless-innings and only allowed three hits. He retired the final 17 batters he faced before Edgar Olmos pitched a perfect ninth inning.

Andrew Bellatti went 3.1 scoreless-innings out of the pen. He only allowed two hits while striking out three. Braulio Lara was also effective out of the bullpen. Lara worked around a lead-off double in the seventh and a lead-off single in the eighth to keep the Suns scoreless in his two innings of work.

The Biscuits finished with a season-low three hits.

The series-finale is Monday morning at 10:05. RH Matt Neil will make the start against his former team, while the Suns will send RHP Jose Urena to the mound.
