
Birthday Boy Davis Tallies Walk-Off Single in Win

TOLEDO - The Toledo Mud Hens defeated the Indianapolis Indians in walk-off fashion on Thursday night at Fifth Third Field. The final score was 7-6. The walk-off victory was the second in five days for the Mud Hens, as *Daz Cameron had a walk-off single on Sunday which defeated the Columbus Clippers.
Brendon Davis had the big hit of the night, a walk-off two-run single, picking up his lone hit and two RBI for the evening. Derek Hill led the way offensively for the second game in a row. Hill had two hits including a solo home run, and scored twice. Jamie Westbrook also picked up a two hit night. Spencer Torkelson tallied his first home run of the season with the Mud Hens, which opened the scoring for the game. Josh Lester hit a two-run double with his only hit of the evening. Ali Sanchez also tallied a hit and two walks on the evening. Kerry Carpenter and Jack Lopez also each scored a run.
Daniel Norris landed the start in his first outing with the Mud Hens since a rehab start in 2018. Norris pitched 2.0 perfect innings, striking out one of the six batters he faced. Cody Sedlock made his first home outing as a member of the Mud Hens, and he pitched very well. Sedlock pitched 5.0 innings, allowing two runs on four hits, walking four and striking out four batters. Miguel Del Pozo picked up his 13th hold. Del Pozo pitched 0.2 inning, allowing three runs on two hits, one walk and one strikeout. Drew Carlton pitched 0.2 inning in relief, allowing one run on one hit, one walk and one strikeout. Carlton also landed his 2nd blown save. Sam Howard picked up the win in relief for the Mud Hens, he is now 1-2 on the season. Howard pitched 0.2 inning, allowing one hit, one walk and one strikeout.
What's Next - The Toledo Mud Hens will play host to the Indianapolis Indians for game four of the six-game series on Friday night, with first pitch coming at 7:05 pm.
