Robert Set to Begin MLB Rehab with Knights Tonight in Nashville

(NASHVILLE, TN) -- OF Luis Robert, who is currently on the Chicago White Sox 10-day injured list, will begin a major league rehab assignment with the Charlotte Knights starting tonight.

The Knights will face the Nashville Sounds at First Horizon Park in Nashville, TN in game three of the six-game series tonight. First pitch of tonight's game is set for 8:05 PM ET.

Robert, 24, was placed on Chicago's injured list on July 22 (retroactive to July 19) with blurred vision. He has appeared in 74 games with the White Sox this season and is hitting .301 (92-for-306) with 48 runs scored, 13 doubles, one triple, 12 home runs and 54 RBIs. Last year, he hit .338 (93-for-275) with 42 runs scored, 22 doubles, one triple, 13 home runs and 43 RBIs with the White Sox in 68 games.

A native of Ciego de Ávila, Cuba, Robert made his Uptown Charlotte debut in 2019 and went on to hit .297 (60-for-202) with 44 runs scored, 10 doubles, five triples, 16 home runs and 39 RBIs with the Knights that season in 47 games. Last season, Robert appeared in eight games on rehab with the Knights and hit .276 (8-for-29) with a home run and three RBIs.
