
Bill Simonson and Jim Shorts to Call Whitecaps Game

COMSTOCK PARK -Whitecaps fans will have some different voices to listen to tuning into the West Michigan's July 7 radio broadcast. Local radio personalities Bill Simonson and Jim Shorts will provide play-by-play and color commentary for the Whitecaps' 12:00 p.m. against Dayton.
Simonson is the host of the Huge Show on WBBL 107.3 FM which airs weekdays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Shorts is the sports reporter for the Kevin Matthews morning show on WLAV 97 FM which airs weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Fans of Simonson and Shorts will have special sections at the ballpark. Simonson's fans can sit on the first base side and Shorts' fans can sit on the third base side.
The game will be broadcast on WBBL 107.3 FM.
The two are no strangers to the broadcast booth. The duo broadcasted a Whitecaps game together on April 20, 2007.
The Whitecaps return home Saturday, July 4 to take on the Dayton Dragons at 7:00 p.m. Individual and group tickets are on sale and can be purchased at the West Michigan Glass Block Ticket Office at Fifth Third Ballpark, by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131 or by visiting www.whitecapsbaseball.com.
