Reading Fightin Phils News Release
Reading, PA - Philadelphia Phillies starting catcher Carlos Ruiz's scheduled Major League rehab assignment with Reading is uncertain. He is hoping to be in the lineup when the R-Phils take on the Altoona Curve on Tuesday, April 28 at 6:35 PM.
Ruiz felt discomfort last night during batting practice while with Triple-A Lehigh Valley. He will be re-evaluated today in Philadelphia before a decision is made on tonight's game in Reading.
Game time is 6:35 PM and gates open at 5:30 PM. Lefty Joe Savery, the Phillies first round pick in the 2007 draft, is scheduled to start for Reading.
