Behind six runs in the top of the seventh inning, the Snappers powered their way to an 8-5 victory Tuesday night over the Clinton LumberKings. Starter Michael McCardell picked up his fourth win of the season, going eight innings allowing five runs.

Clinton jumped out to an early 5-0 lead with one run in the bottom of the first and four more in the bottom of the fifth. Fortunately for the Snappers, that would be all the runs Clinton would muster.

Deibinson Romero plated the first run of the game for the Snappers in the top of the sixth inning with an RBI-single through the hole at short. Romero's single scored Estarlin De Los Santos, who earlier singled, from second base. Estarlin's run made it a 5-1 game after five and a half.

The Snappers then exploded for six runs in the top of the seventh inning to take a 7-5 lead. Beloit got their six runs on three hits and two Clinton errors. One of the three hits by the Snaps was a Deibinson Romero RBI-triple to center.

Beloit piled on one more run in the top of the ninth inning to go up 8-5 and Spencer Steedley shut the door in the bottom half to notch his eighth save of the year.

Estarlin De Los Santos, Deibinson Romero and Mark Dolenc each had two hits for the Snappers who improved to 6-0 in the second half.
