Salt Lake City, UT - Grant Green's bases loaded single in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted the Salt Lake Bees (65-49) to a 5-4 win that completed a four-game sweep over the Iowa Cubs (51-63) at Spring Mobile Ballpark tonight. The loss extends the Cubs' longest losing streak of the season to eight games while the team's road losing streak reaches 11.

The Cubs grabbed the early lead in the top of the second inning when Ty Wright followed a double by Edwin Maysonet with a home run to left field off Bees' starter Dustin Richardson.

The Bees answered with two runs in the bottom of the third. Heid laced an RBI triple to the gap in right-center and scored on a base hit by Andrew Romine. Heid had three triples and five RBI in the series. The Bees took the lead in the bottom of the fourth when Trent Oeltjen doubled and scored on a base hit by Roberto Lopez.

In the top of the sixth inning, Richardson walked Edgar Gonzalez and with two outs, Wright launched his second home run of the game to put the Cubs back on top at 4-3. Wright's back locked up on him after the swing, and forced him out of the game after he ran the bases. The homer was Wright's fifth of the season and his third on this road trip. Wright also had a two-homer game earlier this season with double-A Tennessee. The second blast knocked Richardson out of the game, but the Cubs couldn't score against the Bees' bullpen. Jeremy Berg finished the sixth and worked a scoreless seventh. Fernando Cabrera and Cory Rasmus each pitched a scoreless inning.

Cubs' starter Nick Struck ran into trouble in the bottom of the sixth inning and came out of the game with runners on first and third and one out. Casey Coleman came in and got out of the inning with a strikeout and a groundout to hold the lead. Coleman also worked a scoreless seventh and earned his seventh hold of the season. He has stranded 13-of-14 inherited runners on the year.

The Bees tied the game in the bottom of the eighth against Chang-Yong Lim. Efren Navarro drew a lead off walk, went to third on a base hit by Oeltjen, and scored as Lopez grounded into a double play. It was the first run allowed by Lim in four games since joining the I-Cubs.

The Cubs brought in Brian Schlitter for the bottom of the ninth inning. After retiring the leadoff man, Heid and Matt Long each singled and both moved into scoring position on a wild pitch. After an intentional walk to Romine loaded the bases, Green hit a line drive off the glove of a leaping Logan Watkins at second base for the game-winning hit. Schlitter (1-3) suffered the loss and Rasmus (1-0) was credited with the win.

The Cubs continue this road trip with the first of a four-game series tomorrow night at 9:00 p.m. Central time at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma. LH Brooks Raley (6-7, 4.70) will start for the Cubs against RH Hector Noesi (2-1, 7.20) for the Rainiers. The game will be broadcast live on AM 940, and streamed live at iowacubs.com, with the On-Deck Circle Pre-Game Show starting at 8:40.
