Bees Come Back Stinging

Beloit, WI- The Burlington Bees struck back in game two of the three games series against the Beloit Snappers, winning 11-3.

LHP Jason Wheeler was on the mound for the Snappers. Wheeler had three strike outs in five innings of work giving up seven runs, but only four earned.

The Snappers got on the board in the fifth with a SAC fly RBI by Jairo Rodriguez scoring Adam Bryant who tripled, making the score 7-1 Bees. Bryant led the offensive charge for the Snappers being only a HR short of a cycle.

One run was added in the sixth and seventh innings by the Snappers. Miguel Sano had an RBI single that scored Drew Leachman who doubled to right field. Adam Bryant led off the seventh with a single to center field. He would come around to score off a single by A.J. Pettersen.

Clint Dempster pitched a hitless 9th inning which sparked a charge in the bottom of the ninth as Rodriguez led off with a single. However, he did not make it around to score.

The Snappers will finish off the series with the Bees tomorrow at 2:00 PM. All-star Miguel Sano Wobbleheads will be given to the first 500 fans in attendance. On the mound for the Snappers is RHP Matt Summers (6-3, 4.01 ERA) and he will face RHP A.J. Cole (2-0, 3.22 ERA). So come out for Father's Day and watch your 2012 Midwest League Western Division Wild Card Champs close out the first half of the season against the Bees.
