BEACH PARTY...Kyle Beach has six goals and seven points in his last four games and has points in eight of 12 games this season. His 11 goals lead the Chiefs. Spokane acquired the forward from the Lethbridge Hurricanes on September 23rd. Beach was the Chicago Blackhawks first round draft selection, 11th overall, in 2008. Beach has 93 goals, 201 career points and 629 penalty minutes in 195 career games. As a 16-year-old with the Everett Silvertips in 2006-07 he was named the WHL Rookie of the Year.
NATURAL BORN KILLERS...The Chiefs have killed off 14 penalties over the last four games and have raised their penalty kill percentage from 78.6% to 82.9%. After averaging 5.9 shorthanded situations in the first 10 games of the season, Spokane has lowered that number to 3.5 in their last four games.
I HAVE THE POWER...Spokane is 4-13 (30.8%) in their last four games on the power play and have raised their average on the man-advantage from 15.2% to 21.0% during that span.
SHOOTING PAINS...Spokane has outshot the opposition in 12 of the 14 games this season, and nine straight, and have a 7-5 record when doing that. On September 18th, the first game of the season, Spokane had 52 shots on net accomplishing a feat they achieved twice last year

CHIEFS HOST CHILLIWACK WEDNESDAY
Every Wednesday this season, the Chiefs are teaming up with TicketsWest and 105.7 The Peak to hand out a special collector's series Chiefs player magnet celebrating the franchise's 25th Anniversary.
Each player magnet this year will feature two players, one from the current squad and the other representing one of the Chiefs greats from their first 25 seasons. Last week's magnet featured current goaltender James Reid and Barry Brust, the franchise's leader in career games played in net and the 2002 Western Conference Goaltender of the year. The first 1,000 fans through the gates (and all full season ticket holders) receive a free player magnet at every Wednesday home game.

NOTES VERSUS CHILLIWACK
Spokane will host Chilliwack for the first of two meetings in Spokane. The two will play four times total. The Chiefs will travel to Chilliwack on Friday, December 11th and January 26th and host the Bruins again on January 8th. Spokane earned a point in all four games last year picking up three wins and one loss in a shootout in their first meeting of the season. After that 2-1 decision, Spokane shutout the Bruins 1-0, earned a 4-1 win and a 6-0 shutout in the final three games of the year. James Reid made two starts versus Chilliwack and had a 1-0-0-1 record, 0.96 goals against average and.961 save percentage. Both Mitch Wahl and Stefan Ulmer had two goals and two assists and Tyler Johnson had a goal and three assists in four meetings. Spokane was 6-22 (27.2%) on the power play and 16-18 (88.9%) on the penalty kill.

On, Saturday, November 14th, the Spokane Chiefs and Fred Meyer are going to award one fan with a $1,000 shopping spree, and the best part about it is, they will be able to select one Chief to tag along and carry their bags. Also, the winner will help Fred Meyer donate $500 to the Second Harvest Food Bank.
For the best chance to win, fans must sign-up at Fred Meyer before November 12th. Five finalists will be selected from the entries at area Fred Meyers. One finalist will be selected from the entries at the Chiefs game on November 14th when Spokane hosts the Kamloops Blazers. The grand prize winner will then be decided with a series of competitions, including an on-ice promotion during the intermissions of the game. Participants must be 18 or older and able to attend the game in order to be eligible.

CHIEFS PROSPECT EARNS HONORGOW NAMED TO ALL-STAR TEAM AT U-16 TOURNAMENT
Reid Gow, the Spokane Chiefs first round selection in the 2009 WHL Bantam Draft, was named to the first ever Western Canada U-16 Challenge Cup All-Star team this past weekend while helping Team Manitoba earn a silver medal in the tournament. In four games, the defenseman had one goal, one assist and four penalty minutes.
Gow hails from Killarney, MB, and was a tournament All-Star for the Killarney Raiders of the Westman High School Hockey League last year. The 5'11", 165-lb rearguard is currently a member of the Southwest Cougars of the MMAAAHL, and has tallied one goal and four assists in seven games this season
