KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Traverse City Beach Bums came from behind to better the Kalamazoo Kings 4-2 on the road Wednesday night.

Destan Makonnen was hit by a pitch from Beach Bums starter Kevin Reese and scored from second on a single by Matt Maloney.
The Beach Bums took the lead in the sixth, taking advantage of several defensive miscues to open a 4-2 edge. Brad Miller reached on an error to start the frame and Michael Campbell followed with a double to chase Kalamazoo starter Tommy Mejia. John Alonso lifted a flyball to right that was mishandled enabling the first run to score. The scoring was finished when Brandon McArthur was credited with a fielder's choice as a pop up fell.

He allowed just one earned run while walking two and striking out five. B.J. Hagen retired the final four batters of the game to pick up his third save.
