BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox announce today a special pregame concert by Grammy-nominated kids rock group Milkshake at Prince George's Stadium on Saturday, June 2, before the team takes on the Reading Phillies at 6:35 p.m., followed by fireworks after the game.
The fun for kids and family will begin when gates open for the concert at 4:00 p.m. Milkshake is scheduled to perform on top of the third base dugout at 4:15 p.m.
Maryland's own Milkshake is a band on a mission to create great rock music for kids, and will be rocking the stadium for the fourth-straight year. In their 11 years entertaining youngsters, Milkshake has been featured on Noggin, PBS and XM Radio while receiving critical acclaim in The Washington Post, The Baltimore Sun, Time Magazine, and the Los Angeles Times.
Baysox Marketing Director Brandan Kaiser is excited for Milkshake's return to Prince George's Stadium. "The kids have really enjoyed Milkshake in the past," Kaiser said. "The combination of kid-friendly music and a Baysox baseball game is something you can't find anywhere else. We are happy to have Milkshake performing this year and it's going to be a great show."
The band has created original songs and videos for PBS Kids "Share the Earth Day" programming as well as songs and videos for Discovery Kids' preschool hit "ToddWorld".
