
Rock Cats return home Thursday to take on Reading Phillies

New Britain, CT- The Rock Cats are coming off of a record-setting weekend (5/4-5/6) at New Britain Stadium. Fans came out in droves to see the Cats' fight the Portland Sea Dogs and in the process, set a new franchise attendance record for a weekend series this early in the season. A total of 19,061 baseball fans came to the ballpark during the 3 consecutive sellouts.
The Rock Cats, just one half game behind the Phillies farm club in the standings will begin a four-game series against Reading on Thursday. The Phillies have many of baseball's top prospects including pitcher Trevor May (5-1, 3.09 ERA) who will start Friday night's game.
After a weekend series between the top two clubs in the EL and an off day on Monday, the Rock Cats will play the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in a four game set, Tuesday-Thursday, including a double-header on Tuesday May 15th.
