Baumgartner Assigned to Wolves

The Vancouver Canucks have assigned defenseman NOLAN BAUMGARTNER (BAWM-gahrt-nuhr) to the Chicago Wolves.

BAUMGARTNER has not appeared in any games this season. Last season, he ranked second among Manitoba Moose defensemen with 4 goals, 25 assists and 29 points in 66 American Hockey League contests.

The 35-year-old blueliner has tallied 81 goals, 287 assists, 368 points and 784 penalty minutes in 818 career AHL contests with the Portland Pirates, Norfolk Admirals, Manitoba Moose, Philadelphia Phantoms and Iowa Stars.

The Calgary native has posted 40 assists, 47 points and 67 penalty minutes in 143 career National Hockey League outings with the Washington Capitals, Chicago Blackhawks, Vancouver Canucks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Philadelphia Flyers and Dallas Stars.
