
Mark Parrish Named B-Sens Captain

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that forward Mark Parrish has been named captain for the 2011-12 season.
Parrish, 34, spent the majority of the 2010-11 season with the Portland Pirates. In 56 games with the Pirates he scored 17 goals and 34 assists while adding 12 penalty minutes. He also appeared in two National Hockey League games with the Buffalo Sabres, recording no points.
A native of Bloomington, Minn., Parrish skated in each of the Pirates 12 post-season contests where he recorded three goals and three assists.
Prior to joining the B-Sens, the 5-11, 199-pound forward appeared in 118 career American Hockey League games with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, New Haven Beast, Norfolk Admirals and Portland, recording 93 points (37 goals, 56 assists) while adding 48 penalty minutes.
Parrish has also appeared in 722 career NHL games with the Florida Panthers, New York Islanders, Los Angeles Kings, Dallas Stars, Tampa Bay Lightning and Buffalo. He has scored 216 goals and added 171 assists for 387 career points while adding 246 penalty minutes.
