Amerks Sign Gwinnett's Chris Clackson to Professional Tryout

(Rochester, NY)... Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier announced today the Rochester Americans have signed forward Chris Clackson of the Gwinnett Gladiators (ECHL) to a professional tryout.

Clackson, 24, has appeared in each of Gwinnett's two games this season. Last year, he registered 24 points (10+14) in 46 ECHL games while splitting the season between Cincinnati and Greenville. The 6-foot, 205-pound forward also appeared in 17 AHL games with the Amerks, recording four points (2+2) and 27 penalty minutes. Prior to his professional career, Clackson played four seasons of collegiate hockey at Western Michigan University.

The Amerks play the first of three games this weekend when they host the Hamilton Bulldogs tonight at The Blue Cross Arena at 7:35 p.m. Following a 3 p.m. road game at Toronto tomorrow, Rochester returns home to host the Adirondack Phantoms on Sunday at 6:05 p.m.
