COMSTOCK PARK, MI - A bases loaded walk with two outs in the 10th inning gave the West Michigan Whitecaps a 5-4 victory over the Kernels on Friday night. Jeff Rowland drew the walk from Kernels reliever Tyler Kehrer, scoring Nick Castellanos.
The bottom of the 10th inning began with Donn Roach on the mound. He retired the first two batters of the inning. Castellanos drew a walk and James Robbins singled through the right side of the infield to put runners at the corners. Roach then exited the ballgame, and Kehrer took the mound. Steven Moya, who had already hit two home runs in the game, came to the plate. After throwing Moya two balls, Kehrer intentionally walked Moya to load the bases. The next batter Rowland walked to score Castellanos, ending the game.
