Bakersfield, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors welcome back their fans after a week long road trip with backpack giveaway night on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at Centennial Garden. The game begins at 7:00 p.m., doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Sponsored by KGET-TV 17 and Subway, the first 2,000 children 12 and under, will receive a 2004-2005 edition Condors backpack, one of the most popular giveaways every season. Be sure to get in line early for your chance to receive this limited edition Condors item. This year's backpack is a drawstring pack featuring the Condors logo on the front. It also features a convenient pocket in the front for pencils, phone and more.
Fans are also encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped gift as the Condors team up with R&D Leather Furniture for the Stay Focused Ministries Toy Drive. All fans that participate will receive $1.00 terrace admission to the game that night. Collection sites will be set up in the front plaza at the Centennial Garden, and at both box office locations beginning at 5:30 on Saturday. Fans that would like to donate in advance can do so by stopping in the Condors front office or the Condors Team Store, located across the street from the Centennial Garden at 1022 Truxtun Avenue.
Fans, just because the team is at 25,000 feet en route back to Bakersfield there is no reason for you not to come down to the Holiday Inn Select for a special edition of the Condors Coach's Show from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. This week Puck, host of the "Puck Show" on KGEO AM 1230, will make his return as host. The Condors Coach's Show is a great chance for fans to meet their favorite players as well as win great prizes. Puck's guest will include Condors winger Vlad Serov as well as Condors Director of Community Relations & Development John Ayre. The Holiday Inn Select is located at the corner of Truxtun Avenue and Q Street. The show can also be heard live each week on KGEO AM 1230
The Condors will be on the road December 16th and 17th with a pair of matches against the Las Vegas Wranglers from the Orleans Arena, both starting at 7:00 p.m. All Condors games can be heard live on KGEO AM 1230, with "Condors Countdown" starting 15 minutes prior to game time.
It's not too late to secure premium seat locations for 2004-2005 Condors season by purchasing a Condors Mini-plan. Also, what better way to have a Christmas party than at a Condors game? To purchase individual game tickets, please stop by the Centennial Garden box office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday, with extended hours on event days.
