Utah Grizzlies News Release

The Situation

After seven days off, the Grizzlies return to action for three games in four nights, starting Friday in Idaho and continuing at the Maverik Center Saturday and Monday.

Offensively

In the ECHL, it doesn't get much hotter than Paul McIlveen who has 18 goals and 34 points in his last 27 games. He is second in the league in goals during that stretch and ranks fourth in points.

Last Weekend

McIlveen had Utah season-high's with four goals and five points Friday and ten shots on goal on Saturday.

Shooting

Utah, who recorded no fewer than 34 shots on goal during their just completed five-game home stand; will look to take that offensive spirit to Idaho Friday before returning home for five-straight games.

Goaltending

Andrew Engelage has allowed three goals or less in 20 of his 26 starts. As a team, Grizzlies goaltending has allowed three goals or less in seven of their last eight games.

In Case You Missed It

21-year-old forward Mitch Wahl returned to the Utah lineup Friday, just moments before face-off. Wahl had five goals, two assists, seven points and a plus-five in five games with the Grizzlies from October 19-29. He was the second round selection of Calgary in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Trade

The Grizzlies have traded Matt Reber to Stockton for forward Jordan Foreman who had five goals, nine assists and 80 penalty minutes in 30 games with the Thunder. He had 10 goals, 15 assists and 140 penalty minutes in 40 games with Stockton last season.

Reloading

Attempting to reload the injury depleted roster for the stretch run, Head Coach Kevin Colley has made three trades in the last two weeks. Along with Foreman, forwards Danick Paquette and Colin Vock plus defenseman David Strathman have recently made their Grizzlies debuts. In addition, the team signed veteran defenseman Tyler Kindle.
