Salomon Manriquez scored three times and Salvador Aguilar tossed six shutout innings, helping the Binghamton Mets to a 4-1 win over the Harrisburg Senators at Commerce Bank Park Thursday. The B-Mets took two out of three in the series, wrapping up a season-high 10-game road trip with a 7-3 mark. Binghamton (31-28) went ahead in the third. Shairon Martis walked Manriquez, who stole second, moved to third on Aguilar's fly out and scored when Eric Reed ripped a double down the rightfield line. Manriquez singled off Martis (4-3) leading off the fifth. Matt Smith followed with a base hit and Reed bunted his way on, loading the bases, before Manriquez came in on Jose Coronado's groundout for a 2-0 B-Mets lead.
Mike Carp led off the sixth with a homer to right. Two batters later, Manriquez singled, stole second and moved to third on Smith's double. Aguilar's sacrifice fly plated Manriquez for a 4-0 B-Mets advantage.
Harrisburg (34-24) was held in check by Aguilar (6-1), who allowed two hits and two walks, striking out five. He gave way to Eddie Camacho, who yielded two hits in the seventh, including Ofilio Castro's run-scoring single. Eddie Kunz got the final four outs for his 14th save in 15 chances.
