Harrisburg, PA - Harrisburg Senators LHP Cory VanAllen was placed on the Disabled List on Thursday, retroactive to May 29th. No corresponding move was announced.
VanAllen, 23, is one of the Nationals' fast-rising minor-league pitchers. He went 3-0 with a 0.66 ERA for Potomac before being promoted to Harrisburg in early May. VanAllen is 3-1 with a 3.71 ERA for the Senators. This is his third professional season out of Baylor University.
The moves leave Harrisburg with 22 players on the active roster. Eastern League rules allow 24 active players.
