Caleb Stewart scored the winning run in the bottom of the ninth, helping the Binghamton Mets to a 3-2 win over the Erie SeaWolves at NYSEG Stadium Thursday...Binghamton took a 2-0 lead in the fourth on Ambiorix Concepcion's two-run homer...Stewart finished with three hits and scored twice. Salomon Manriquez also had three hits...starter Tobi Stoner allowed a run over six innings, but got a no-decision...Binghamton took two of three from Erie, winning for the 15th time in 20 games.

About Binghamton

The B-Mets are 39-32 at the halfway point of the EL campaign, their first winning record after 71 games since 2004 (43-28), which was the last year Binghamton made the playoffs...Binghamton's loss Wed. vs. ERI is their third when leading after eight innings (also 6/10 vs. HAR, 5/26 vs. REA). All three of Eddie Kunz's blown saves have come in those games...Tue. vs. ERI, the B-Mets batted around in two different innings for the second time this season, winning 10-1. The B-Mets also batted around twice in a 17-4 win 6/8 vs.NB...since 5/27, Binghamton's bullpen has allowed a total of 21 ER. 7 of those ER came 6/11 vs. HAR...B-Mets starters have lasted at least five innings in 34 of the last 40 games, allowing 83 ER in 213 1/3 IP (3.51).

About Erie

The New York Yankees affiliate takes on Binghamton after dropping two of three @ HAR...the Thunder have dropped seven of nine...Trenton's pitching staff leads the EL in ERA (2.91) and shutouts (9) and is third in strikeouts (542)...the Thunder offense is last in homers (37) and fifth in hitting (.267)...Trenton has made the playoffs in each of the last three seasons, winning their first EL Championship in 2007.

The B-Mets have dropped 23 of 39 at Waterfront Park since 2005...Binghamton was a season-worst nine games under .500 after losing on 5/5. They are 28-12 since...the B-Mets are in the middle of a stretch in which they will play 29 games in 28 days until the EL All-Star Break...the BMets have swept two doubleheaders this season (5/31 @ CON, 5/17 vs. ERI), after not sweeping a twinbill since 7/23/06 @ POR...5/26 vs. REA, Daniel Murphy became the sixth B-Mets player with a three-homer game, joining Mike Jacobs (5/6/05 @ ERI), Aaron McNeal (6/2/02 vs. HAR), Rob Stratton (6/10/01 @ Norwich), Matt Raleigh (6/27/1997 @ POR) and Ramon Espinosa (6/20/1997 vs. BOW)...one day before the season started, it was announced that the NY Mets and Binghamton have extended their Player Development Contract through the 2010 season.
