Rockford starter Kyle Hassna (4-0) struck out a season high 10 batters while limiting the Frontier Greys to no runs on just three hits in seven innings as the Aviators (17-7) held on to beat the Greys (9-14) 1-0 in Frontier League baseball action Friday night at Aviators Stadium in Loves Park, IL.
The win was Rockford's second straight shutout victory as the Aviators extended their West Division lead over the Normal Cornbelters to 1.5 games. The game's lone run came in the fourth inning, when Dusty Robinson scored from third on an error by Frontier second baseman Zach Tanner. Justin Dalessandro (2-3) was the hard luck loser for the Greys, yielding one unearned run on one hit in his seven inning stint. Michael Schaub registered his eighth save despite giving up a pair of infield singles in the ninth.
