Avalanche Recall Forward J.T. Compher

DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche announced today that forward J.T. Compher has been recalled from the San Antonio Rampage (AHL). In addition, the Rampage have loaned forward Mike Sislo to the Toronto Marlies and acquired forward Colin Smith from the club for future considerations.

Compher's first call-up to the Avalanche serves as Colorado's 17th recall from San Antonio this season. He looks to make his NHL debut during his trip to Colorado as he joins former Rampage players Cody Goloubef, Calvin Pickard, Nikita Zadorov, Jeremy Smith, and Mikko Rantanen. Compher, 21, has appeared in 41 games with San Antonio this season, contributing 30 points, including 13 goals and 17 assists, and ranks third among Rampage scorers.

Smith, 23, joins the Avalanche for the second time in his career after totaling 28 points (8g/20a) in 52 games for the Marlies (AHL) this season. Sislo, 29, has played 54 contests for the Rampage in the 2016-17 campaign, registering 21 points (6g/15a).

The San Antonio Rampage will honor both former and active duty armed forces with their 14th annual Military Appreciation Night, presented by Grunt Style, on Friday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m. against the Grand Rapids Griffins. Friday's game will also be a Bud Light KISS 99.5 $1 Drink Night at the AT&T Center. Fans can purchase $1 domestic beers and sodas throughout the game.
