Ontario, CA - The Ontario Reign, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL), visit the Stockton Heat tonight at 7:00 PT at Stockton Arena in Stockton, California. Tonight is the sixth of eight regular-season meetings this season.
It's Been a While Old Friend: The Reign are 3-1-1-0 against the Heat this season and 10-5-2-0 all time. The two teams last met back on New Year's Eve with the Reign prevailing 5-4 in overtime at Citizens Business Bank Arena. Reign forward Sean Backman (two goals, four assists) leads the series with six points.
Campbell Reaches 100: Reign goaltender Jack Campbell earned his 100th professional victory last Sunday with a win over Rockford and is 100-62-21 in his career.
His Game Has Just Begun...Su-Su-Sutter... Reign forward Brett Sutter enters tonight's contest on a three-game point streak (two goals, three assists) and has eight points (four goals, four assists) over his last six games.
Backman's in the Saddle Again: Reign forward Sean Backman is on a three-game point streak (two goals, one assist) moving into tonight's contest and has three goals and two assists over his last six games.
It's a me, Amadio: Forward Mike Amadio enters tonight's game on a three-game point streak (two goals, three assists) and has seven points (three goals, four assists) over his last six games.
Upcoming Milestones: Forward T.J. Hensick is three assists from 400 as a professional and four games from 700 pro contests. Forward Sean Backman is two games from 400 in his AHL career and six points from 200 AHL points. Defenseman Cameron Schilling is eight points from 100 as a professional. Forward Teddy Purcell is two games from 700 in his professional career and one goal from 150 pro tallies.
