
Austin Wins Back-To-Back Games against Santa Cruz, 109-80

Cedar Park, TX - Cady Lalanne recorded his fifth double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds to help Austin defeat Santa Cruz 109-80 at Cedar Park Center Wednesday night. Atlanta Hawks assignees Walter Tavares (13 rebounds) and Tim Hardaway Jr. (18 points) paced Austin for the night.
Austin (14-3) started the first quarter with a 14-4 run. Santa Cruz (9-9) cut Austin's lead down to six with seven minutes left in the quarter, 17-11. Austin expanded their lead to 16, leading 36-20 at the end of the first. Tim Hardaway Jr. led Austin in scoring with 11 points, while Darington Hobson and Ronnie Brewer each contributed seven points for Santa Cruz.
Austin held the lead through the second, led by Demetri McCamey's seven points and Youssou Ndoye's six points. They led by as many as 25 three times in the quarter, ending the half at 62-37. The team controlled the third quarter, leading by as many as 31.
Austin's largest lead (36) came in the fourth quarter, putting them up 109-73 with five minutes left in the game.
For Santa Cruz, Hobson scored a team-high 20 points followed by Jarred Shaw's 19 points.
