AUGUSTA, GA: The Augusta GreenJackets, Single "A" affiliate of the 2014 World Champion San Francisco Giants, are honored to announce a partnership with the Augusta Warrior Project as a part of the 9th Annual Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, July 25th at Lake Olmstead Stadium.

"The Augusta Warrior Project is a great community organization that we are thrilled to partner together with for Military Appreciation Night," stated GreenJackets General Manager Tom Denlinger. "As a community leader we are excited to aide in their commitment to veterans, service members and military families."

As a part of the partnership the Augusta Warrior Project will receive proceeds of the Military Jersey Auction that evening. These one of a kind jerseys would make a great keeps sake for any baseball fan, please find a picture attached to this release. Throughout the evening's festivities guests will be able to place bids on the jerseys. The bid sheets will be located on our concourse adjacent to the Shepeard Community Blood Center Box Office. The bidding will continue throughout the night until the end of the 6th inning. The winners will be announced in the eighth inning and all the winning participants will be able to come down on to the field, meet the player and receive their jersey right off the player's back.

"We couldn't be more pleased with the amazing partnership we continue to have with the Augusta GreenJackets," stated Augusta Warrior Project Executive Director Kim Elle. "They are extremely supportive of those who have served our great country, their families and the awesome community we all appreciate."

On Military Appreciation Night, the GreenJackets look to recognize and honor the soldiers and their families for the dedication, commitment, and sacrifices they make for our nation. Businesses throughout the CSRA have the opportunity to help the GreenJackets honor soldiers and their families from Fort Gordon with sponsorship packages. Packages range from $100 to $1000 and include public address and game program recognition, VIP seats to the game, and seats donated to military families. The Augusta Warrior Project (AWP) connects Warriors (veterans, service members, and military families) with resources that improve their lives.
