FOX CITIES STADIUM -- Jack Arroyo stole two bases and scored the winning run on an error in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers a 5-4 win over the Kane County Cougars in game one of a doubleheader on Wednesday afternoon. Yung Chi Chen drove in the tying run with a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning. Eric O'Flaherty pitched 1/3 of an inning and picked up the victory.

The Timber Rattlers (55-47 overall, 16-16 second half) took an early 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning. Chris Colton drove in the first run with an infield grounder. Mike Wilson followed with a sacrifice fly to drive in run number two.

Kane County (47-54, 16-16) got one run on three hits in the top of the second inning. An RBI single by Ryan Ruiz plated the Cougar run.

An RBI single by Chen in the bottom of the fourth edged the Rattlers out in front 3-1.

Gregorio Petit doubled in two runs in the top of the fifth inning to tie the game 3-3. A balk moved Petit to third base. A sacrifice fly by Luis Perez drove in Petit to give the Cougars a 4-3 lead.

Rattler starting pitcher Randy Frye got out of a jam in the top of the sixth inning to keep the Rattlers close. The Cougars had runners at first and second with one out, but failed to score as Frye got a pop out and a force out to wiggle off the hook.

Marshall Hubbard was hit by a pitch to start the Rattler sixth. A sacrifice bunt by Omar Falcon moved Hubbard to second base. Josh Womack pinch ran for Hubbard and scored on Chen's single to leftcenter.

Frye gave up a one out double to Cliff Pennington in the top of the seventh and got Perez to ground out for out number two. O'Flaherty entered the game with Pennington at third as the go-ahead run. The left handed reliever got Myron Leslie to pop out for the final out and kept the game tied 4-4.

The Rattler game winning rally almost wasn't. Brent Johnson started the inning with a double. But, Arroyo's sacrifice bunt attempt was poorly executed and Johnson was tagged out at third. Arroyo made up for it though. He stole second on an 0-1 pitch to Colton. Arroyo took off for third on the 0-2 pitch to Colton and scored when catcher Raul Padron fired a ball into left to allow the winning run to score.
